We had been house-hunting but with Ben travelling and the flood - we put it on the back burner. Until yesterday - we took a drive down South yesterday to 'check out' a place 23 miles south of Fargo. We're meeting with our realtor tonight to recap what we've seen so far and maybe get an appointment scheduled to see this place. It could be a contender - keep your fingers crossed. The place currently houses a few mini horses - so it could very easily be converted into a sheep farmer's paradise. If the road doesn't flood out. And the sump pump doesn't malfunction.
All in all, we're keeping good humor up here - but I'm sure anyone that's moved +10 hours away from family would say. We've decided the best thing about this move so far is that we've become a lot closer as a couple. We rely on each other quite a bit. He relies on me to do the laundry and the dishes, I need him to get stuff from the top of my closet and carry the heavy grocery bags up the 3 flights of stairs. In all seriousness - we're glad we are doing this our way, on our own terms.
